Nihonese?

A co-worker of mine sent this to me yesterday. I wasn't sure if this was real or someone just wanted to play a prank on him. It's funny as hell, and couldn't even stop laughing when I saw it. One thing that came to mind after reading it.. WTF is Nihonese?
